I joined the Friends of the Uffizi about 15 years ago. I decided to become a member upon meeting Contessa Maria Vittoria Colonna Rimbotti and hosted a dinner party in her honor.
As a Leonardo Member I enjoy the other members the most. Our diverse membership is composed of art collectors, connoisseurs and art appreciators throughout the word. Art always makes one feel good and enriches one’s life.
All of the Uffizi Gallery artworks and galleries are special. However, I am especially proud of the statues and artworks that the Friends of the Uffizi have restored. To date there are over 40 completed restorations of paintings, altarpieces and sculptures. Each restoration features a plaque proudly honoring our Friends patrons.
I am looking forward to the 2021 Florentine Weekend. Visiting unique places in Florence, VIP tours and spending time with friends makes the weekends so memorable. Every time I am in Florence, everything is new for the first time.
